Surge staffing the day a contract drops.
Awards land. Ramps happen. We scale your delivery team against the date in the award letter, not your usual hiring calendar.
Federal Group Talent Partners' contract staffing practice provides rapid scale-up against contract award milestones, planned-substitution support during contract execution, and bench expansion for primes preparing for upcoming proposal opportunities. Surge engagements typically deliver 5 to 50 cleared and uncleared candidates inside 30 to 90 days from award, with engagement structures that accommodate W-2, 1099, and corp-to-corp arrangements.
The day the award letter lands, we are already moving.
Surge engagements deliver 5 to 50 cleared and uncleared candidates inside 30 to 90 days. W-2, 1099, and corp-to-corp arrangements per contract terms. Protest-pause language built into engagement letters so a known protest pauses the engagement without penalty until resolution.
Engagement workflow
- Step 1
Surge scope and constraint diagnosis
Headcount target, clearance mix, geographic concentration, onboarding capacity at the hiring firm. We diagnose the actual constraint rather than just feeding more resumes into a saturated pipeline.
- Step 2
Multi-track sourcing
Parallel sourcing across cleared and uncleared roles, multiple geographies, and multiple LCATs simultaneously.
- Step 3
Daily slate cadence
Slates delivered daily during peak surge, with progress reports against the headcount target and the constraint diagnosis.
- Step 4
Onboarding handoff
Coordinated handoff to the firm's onboarding team. Clearance reciprocity tracked separately for cleared candidates.
- Step 5
Bench expansion
Surplus qualified candidates rolled into the firm's bench for upcoming proposals, with the candidate's consent.
Two ways to start.
If you have a position to fill, tell us about the role. If you have federal experience, tell us about your background. Same firm, two intake paths.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly can you ramp 20+ candidates?
Net 30 to 60 days from start of engagement is realistic for blended cleared and uncleared rosters. The constraint is rarely sourcing — it is candidate availability, clearance verification cycle time, and onboarding capacity at the hiring firm. We help diagnose and remove the actual constraint rather than just feeding more resumes into a pipeline that cannot absorb them.
Can you support 1099 and corp-to-corp arrangements?
Yes. Engagement structures vary by candidate, contract terms, and agency rules. For positions that require W-2 status by contract, we surface that constraint at intake; for positions that allow 1099 or corp-to-corp, we surface those options to the candidate and the hiring manager and let the parties decide.
What happens if our award gets protested?
Protest delays are part of the territory. Surge engagements include protest-pause language: if a known protest is filed within 10 days of award, the surge engagement pauses without penalty until the protest resolves, and resumes from where it stopped without restart fees.
